No way it's into the 13's stock, I'd guess around 14.4-14.5

I read the 1/4 mile one wrong, it came out to 14.6 which I think is high.

Mid 14's would be about right. Lower with a good driver on a cool day.

Plus, ditch the rear seats, thats another 30-40lbs, ditch the junk in the trunk (spare/jack/etc.) for another 30-50lbs, and maybe some lightweight bumper beams like they sell for Imprezas (have them on mine, saved ~20lbs each). This car can EASILY be down to 2500lbs

As for the brakes, vented rears would be nice, the conversion probably won't be that expensive either but I suspect all the cars sold here in the states will have them. But as others have said, this car probably just needs quality pads to out-brake pretty much everything out there. Don't need brembo's or other huge brakes unless you throw in a turbo motor with another 50+hp.

One thing to note: The "De-contented model" is a Type-RA version. Subaru almost always sells a Type-RA model STI in Japan. They usually have no stereo, no foglights, none of the amenities and are sold specifically for privateer rally racing. Here is a good example of a brochure for one:

The sad thing about these models is they are never sold outside of Japan

So I don't expect that no-content FT86 with the unpainted models to be sold anywhere outside of Japan either.
I have a 95 RA in my driveway. It's an awesome car, I hope they make something similar for the FR/BRZ.

So what the torque gonna be? 150 or 170? Different sources claim different. 170 makes far more sense.

151 is what is in the leaked specs...but this is the Japanese version...the North American version could be more or less..

The datasheet clearly says 205 NM @ 6600 RPM, which equals 151 LbFt.

Why do you think that 170 LbFt makes "more sense"? What evidence have you seen beyond magazine rumors, and what rationale can you offer that backs up the significant increase in BMEP?

My excuse is wishful thinking.

Well I can't blame you for wishful thinking. More torque is always better, especially when we're talking about a modest 151 LbFt.

These power figures aren't correct anyways, they never are.

Claimed 147kw/205nm, my best bet is 135kw/190nm stock

With factory spec dyno figures atw of 115kw/160nm at best.
