If there is no brz/frs...
I'll wait for the next generation Mk7 VW GTI/ Golf R. This will be the Opposite direction of "performance". This will be a Daily driver enjoyment rather than hardcore tofu delivering machine.

I've had a hard time with this because I really like the AWD of my GT-R, but I wished my G35 was lighter so I could actually learn to drift / track it. Also, I have to have a manual for my next car so the Exo X MR was thrown out.
My List (as of now): WRX / STi (both nice cars, but the transmission wasn't forgiving for a newbie like me) GenCoupe 2.0T r-spec FRS BRZ Used e92 (as base as possible) new Camaro / mustang v8 (I've always wanted a V8, but I realize these are kinda random) My Removed choices (and why): EVO X MR (auto only and styling is kinda borderline weird) 370 (no back seat + felt like both my cars, like right in between) GenCoupe v6 (not a good deal anymore + no turbo) Mustang 5.0 (I know it's a newer platform, but the way I'd have it optioned, I could get a GT500 for <$10K more... which I had on order, but decided it was too expensive for a DD) |

If the FRS didn't exist it would be in this order...
1. Finish my FC3S time attack build 2. Finish my BH9 VIP build 3. buy a local S15 that iv been eyeing for the past year for 18k 4. Start up rx9club.com in lieu of the next rotary mazda sports car. 5. Buy rx9 in 2014-2018

No freaking clue. There's a bunch of cars on my list, all over the grid really. The FRS/BRZ just happens to be sitting in spot one right now until I drive them all.

I've been hearing this alot, that the new s197 can handle quite well. I'm going to have just hop in one for a test drive and find out. There are other attributes to consider about how a car handles, and that can include driver seating position and visibility. Some of these newer cars like the Camaro, Charger, Mustang make it difficult to point them properly into a corner, I'm hoping the BRZ/FR-S doesn't have that problem. |
