The ones listed as a GT/GT Limited in Japan (our GTS equiv).

Cost a bit more than the plain black ones (due to the overlay).

I've done it a good few times whilst I was vinyl wrapping that piece of trim. I didn't even bother disconnecting the battery.
I sure it's been mentioned but it's only a case of pushing on three spring clips at 3,6 & 9 o'clock behind the airbag, it springs off, undo two Phillips head screws, remove piece.
Replacing is reversal of the above.
I might give it a try one of these days and order that part. I was thinking about maybe getting some red plastidip for the door handles just to add some color. I was also just thinking as an afterthought that it could be cool to color match all the parts to the car... i thought of this as i was holding my aerosol can of touchup paint. Could be nice to have everything color matched in asphalt.

Oh, I was just saying. Your original post was asking how/where do you get those black buttons...and the guy in the link I put has those buttons, and figured if you haven't found em yet to ask the person who started the thread i linked where they got the button.

I just received my parts from Amayama and can confirm that all of the parts from post #73 are the correct OEM black trim pieces. Also the post listing the black trim pieces for the knee pads (to the left/right of the hvac controls) and the black sport buttons (AT) are correct.

It took about 3 weeks from the date of payment to delivery, but everything looks great. Ive only installed a few of the parts; am waiting for my Dynamat to do the door handle levers. fyi, the door handle levers are the whole assembly, not just the replacement part for the factory chrome piece. Im also waiting to do the U shaped steering wheel piece until i get my 86 airbag which should arrive next week.

Any idea on when I can hear back and actually place an order/pay?

Mind posting the part number to that airbag when you get it?

You can get it from a vendor on the site: nigel-jdmparts

Be ready to shell out 800 bucks though...

I know Nigel sells them but I rather order through my own devices. He's a good guy and a vendor but I try to save where I can.

Just got the radio trim and vent rings and put them on. Might order a can of red plasti dip for the door handles to add some color and not sure about the steering wheel yet... might just order the black part or just leave it as is since the paddle shifters are silver too.
