At first my brother disagreed but quickly changed his mind after he sat in the limited model seat. The thigh bolsters in the premium model are more vertical and same for the seat back kidney area.

I originally test drove the limited when I ordered my car; had I known the premium seats were going to be tighter/more narrow, I would have gone with the limited. Truth!
Now that you mentioned it, i think youre right. My premium did feel like it has "tighter" seats and I enjoy that more than the Limited.

My drivers seat hurt my kidneys and lower back for the first two weeks I had it. After that, its great now. I can drive for hours. I'm a pretty big guy too. Not sure about measurements but I suggest you try to drive it and break the seats in. It worked for me.

I've been complaining about the driver's seats from day one. There isn't enough lumbar support and the side bolsters are too small for my shoulders. I plan to reupholster the seats and in the meantime I have a little back support pillow. Goodluck trying to get a new seat haha

The seats in the limited are narrow. My wife and I fit the seats perfectly...but one of the first comments I made on the drive home with the new car was that some people that are built wider or overweight are NOT going to like these front seats. My boss sat in my new car and he doesn't fit the seat either. Looks like larger people are set for aftermarket seats as the only way.

I test drove the Scion also and I did not think the seats were as narrow.

You dont alter a BRZ. You alter yourself, to fit the BRZ.

Lose some weight bro

In defense of those who may or may not be 'overweight' the following are the BMI values of some of the members: (the BMI is an indication of healthy weight based upon the height of a person.

Normal weight: 18.5 - 24.9
Overweight: 25.0 - 29.9
Obese: 30 +

BRZerk - 5' 9", 170 lbs: 25.1 Overweight, but on the edge
GregV - 6' 1", 250 lbs: 33.0 Obese - Needs a lot of work
Indestruct - 5' 11", 175 lbs: 24.4 Normal - Congratulations

These conclusions do not necessarily 'fit' a particular individual and based upon their comments there is no complete correlation based upon their BMI rating and their satisfaction of the BRZ seating comfort.

Lol BMI doesnt prove anything did you know. Every person has their own type of body fat. I forget the real answer in proving that, but a normal person may look normal but according to BMI they may be obese. Tell me that

ANSWER:

Please READ the post. This is why I included the following:

1. "These conclusions do not necessarily 'fit' a particular individual"
2. I highlighted "indication"

Most people know that they are overweight. There is a HUGE difference between 'normal' and 'obese' but not so much between 'normal' and 'overweight'.

Try reclining the seat a few clicks. When I set mine to my normal driving position it wasn't very comfortable but after I reclined it a bit more it is perfect. I think because the seat is so close to the floor you do not want to sit as upright as you do in other cars.
