I talked to Borla today, they said they are changing the design some to make it better. They are going to start making these in 2 weeks, then shipping out a week later.

so they release a limited quantity, and those buyers are stock with an inferior header?

I have been going back and forth to pick this one or JDL's up, but that doesn't help the argument. Hopefully borla can come in here and clarify things.

If I placed my order already for one I am going to get the old version or Borla did not ship to their dealer to make sure every customer will get the newer version already ????

I'm worried now.... May be I should have wait a bit more before to order one.

I've never dealt with Borla so I really don't know how this will happen... But give them time to respond, no one knows if they will take care of early adopters. Any good company WILL take care of them.

To do whatever it takes to not get slapped around so brutally hard by certain competitors that will remain... err... that doesn't work does it?

Serious note: Hopefully they clean up the welds and improve the collector design.

Jeremy has kindly informed all the preorders that there will be a delay. It isn't fun, however it is great to see a vendor work with their customers and keep them informed.

He sent us an except from Borla. My main takeaways
+No one who preordered will be getting the older possibly inferior design
+it is good that Borla decided to make this change before their first batch as to not proverbially "shaft early adopters"
+it will be about a month of waiting
+No details on what design changes other than to "Improve the performance and reliability of this part"
+I didn't know this but Borla designs and manufactures everything in the USA

I'll let Jeremy have the honor of posting the excerpt
