a question. Is the 225 40 18 the optimal size for 8.5 inch rims. According to the tire configuarator it will only raise the car about 12 mm's. The 235 40 18 will raise it more than that. I am not comfortable ordering 225 35 18 as i believe the ride will be too rough and they are actually smaller in total diameter than stock. Any opinions?

this for snows?

toyota recommended (as did others) 205 55 16 for snows. thats what im on.
but if you have to be on 18s... not sure.

This is for summers. About to place my order on tirerack and am wondering if the 225's will have too much gap between the edge of the rim and the tire. I can't really tell on the photos on the forum.

Took delivery of my:

86 cup holder pcs with scion logo on the side
86 center console pc
SCION nameplate for under the radio
Stage 3 LED's for my lisence plate
and my stage 2 red light for the interior of the car. Yes I have now renamed my car from WTF to the pornmobile. Giggity.

In all seriousness, the stuff looks good. Red on black (to match the interior) Diode Dynamics. Came in mail. No issues at all.

Tomorrow is THE big day. PIck up my rims. Almost as bad as waiting for the car last year.
