Anyone here using a Dashcam?

After have a couple of crazies cut me off and getting a love tap from a kid in a Jetta I've decided to get a dashcam to cover my butt.

Does anyone know if a good one can be sourced locally? Ive seen too many scams on Amazon and online retailers selling junk.

I don't have or use one but I know from what I have read that blackvue is the most common used dash cam.

eBay, get a BlackVue one from a reliable seller. There's a great thread on how to hard wire install one in the DIY section of these forums already.

Check the states with high temperatures and see if they have any blackvue installed. Check with those use the blackvue and how they cope with its overheating claims. I did that when I was intake shopping, after a few pm exchanges between multiple people I ended with the injen.

http://dashcamtalk.com/dash-cam-comparison/

if you searched Dash Cam you will get a bunch of info on here as well

The Blackvue (DR400G-HD) did have heating problems but the new model (DR400G-HD II) doesn't suffer from this as much due to a reduced bit rate (half the original models)

check that site out its full of good info

Personally I have a DVR 027 with a custom mount cause its very reliable and the biggest cons for it are not 1080p and huge mount.

I also got a F900LHD and it works great but its HUGE like way too big. I use it for my work van now. The oem mount is garbage too.

Thanks much appreciated. Where did you get your DVR 027? It looks like a good middle of the road option.

I just got my BlackVue RD500GW-HD, the overheating issue is fixed on it from what I've read and you can pick it up from NewEgg.
