I've had them on my car for only about 2 weeks but so far they are alright. Thanks for bringing this up so now I can keep on eye on them. Did you try contacting the company to get a replacement or your $ back?

Maybe for anyone that is just putting them on now, try putting a little grease on the bolts to see if that helps.

Not worth it, not one bit.

I saw the PERRIN exhaust tip for BRZ and FRS using clamp to hold instead to bolt.
http://www.perrinperformance.com/brzfr-s/brz-slash-cut-exhaust-tip
Will that more robust or the reliability will be better?
I know that it might be too expensive for the tip.
Thanks.

Yes it's better, and yes it's more robust. Yes it's also too expensive.

When you can get an axle-back exhaust for 450 that comes with new tips welded on, 150 for clamp on tips is ridiculous.

Is anyone else having issues with rust and discoloration (other than the first guy)?

I'm not having any issues. You can probably spray them with a rust protectant if you're worried. Also, these look really easy to spray a new coat on from a $3 can at an auto shop.

Rust, hell yeah. Haven't noticed discoloration yet. Not surprised or upset about it. It's from pep boys, we didn't expect a quality product. The Perrin tips are appropriately priced IMO

I'm in California and had some rust on the screws and U shaped clamps. Pulled them off yesterday, used a metal brush to remove the surface rust, and sprayed them with high heat resistant Rustoleum. Look great. $6.

I'm at pep boys now. Any idea if spraying this around the bolts (or even on the whole tip?) would prevent rust?

Found one at my local pep boys, and decided to drive an hour to Baton Rouge to get the other one...

I pushed them a little farther in than the other pics I saw.
