Hi All -

Although I don't have one yet, I plan on picking up a new Satin White Pearl BRZ this spring. I've been a long time Subaru owner, having had 7 over the past 12 years including a 2001 2.5RS Coupe with a swap and a 2012 STI. I've had other cars such as an Audi TT, VW R32, and Mazda MX-5. None have given me as much driving pleasure as the MX-5 or my 2001 2.5RS Coupe - with the MX-5 coming up on top. I am confident that this is attributed to the light weight architecture these two cars were built on.

I was very excited when the 86 platform was announced and was looking forward to adding one to my stable. I miss that raw, connected feeling you get from a rear-drive, lightweight, well balanced driver's car.

So anyway, I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to the community.

Hello! I'm Tom.

As with everyone else on this board, I feel in love with the ideals of the twins. I appreciate balance, and this is the first car that hit all my requirements in at least some way.

Originally I was going to buy some decently fun second hand car, but since the BRZ was released, I've been saving up for a very large down payment on one. In two weeks, I will be ordering my first new car - A WR Blue Premium BRZ. I can't wait to blow all of my hard-earned money and say goodbye to my faithful and reliable Ford Focus.

Hello, I am Patricia

yesterday I put a deposit for a brand new Subaru BRZ White Pearl Manual. I should take the delivery by mid-March hopefully. I am also in the process of choosing some must accessories although I am still waiting to get the list from the dealer. So far I know I can get the exhaust pipes looking a tad more sporty and the boot mat to cover the spare-wheel.
If anyone has other suggestions, do let me know. It may take the dealer a while to get that list as well as the brochure with GCC specs (this is Dubai of course!).

Looking forward to sharing info and meeting up with fellow Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86 proud owners in Dubai.

Hi everyone,

My name is Rick. I placed an order for a WRB BRZ back in November. I will be geting the car sometime this month hopefully or early next month. Initially I was planning on getting the wrx but something about the BRZ lured me into getting it instead.

My name is David Thomas and I'm the managing editor at Cars.com. I joined the forum because we added a 2013 Subaru BRZ Limited to our long-term test fleet last week. This is a car we purchased ourselves, not a loan from an automaker and we'll be detailing the next year on our blog KickingTires.

We bought the BRZ because we named it and the FR-S our "Best of 2013" aka our Car of the Year.

I'm a longtime forum user and understand the fine line between self-promotion and adding to a community conversation. I plan on respecting the forum rules but think our coverage would be of value to others here. We just ran our first mileage report for example and have already gotten winter tires.

I hope any forum members or admins contact me directly if there's an issue with any of my posts.

Here's a shot of our BRZ after a freeze the morning I drove it to the Detroit auto show where we revealed it as the Best of winner.

From Istanbul, Turkey

Hi,
Mine is probably the first Subaru BRZ in Turkey. It is WRB Limited Auto and I got it after it was shown in Istanbul Autoshow. Subaru launched it after Toyota and not with funfare.
These will be rare cars in Turkey because of taxation; anything that has an engine bigger than 1600 cc is heavily taxed so the Subaru BRZ cost me almost $70K. So, this will be the car of a well off enthusiast, who has at least one more car at least here, in Turkey for the lucky few who can afford.
It is a daily drive. I already drove 1500 kms in all conditions; city, motorway, hill climbing, on ice. It is as great as it was made out to be.
Last weekend, we went to a short ski break with the family; my 7 year old was happy at the back, 12 year old had to adopt the lotus position on the way. Not much complaint; I suppose.
My wife simply said: "This is for families huh? They have a different sense of what a family means."
Climbing up to he mountain, on a varied road surface was fun and safe with new Michelin Alpin winter tyres. Last 10 kms was frozen packed snow, late at night and -7 C ano snowing, it climbed like a wild goat.
Great car, huge price, great fun.
Regards.

Hello all!
I'm new to this forum, but currently serve as an admin at ClubWRX. I've owned and modified WRX's for about 10 years.

I think I'll be looking for a "driver's car", some time this year. My goal is to find something with better balance than I'm accustomed to (WRX's are great, but a little heavy and the engine is too far forward), either AWD or RWD, manual transmission, somewhere in the $30K'ish ball park. Obviously a BRZ/FRS is a candidate, as is a used Porsche 987. I'm here to learn more about what the twins bring to the table!

Hey everyone, I'm seriously considering getting a BRZ. I currently have a MazdaSpeed3 and absolutely love the car but after three years the front wheel drive is getting to me. This car has limited potential and I want something new. I'm a big Subaru fan and have owned an STI before. The STI turned out to be a lemon from a bad and very sketchy dealership (Bullmoose Motorsports in Lewisville, TX. AVOID THEM) so I only had the STI for about 8 months and it was never 100%. So I'm torn when it comes to what to get next. I could get a used STI for around the same price as a new or slightly used BRZ. I do realize this is a BRZ forum so please don't bombard me with "you're stupid of course BRZ because blah blah blah". I'm looking for honest advice. I love the BRZ for it's rear drive. On the other hand the STI is AWD and has 5 seats and comes in hatchback form (I've got a thing for hatches/wagons). So STI or BRZ? If BRZ, should I get limited or premium? I understand that the limited is higher end and comes with leather wrapped things. But I saw some thread where someone said "I'd rather have premium" so to that guy and other people like that why? Do they all come with the torsen limited slip diff too? I really appreciate any advice/help!!

Hello all, name is Ben, new to the forum. Joined back in May and waited until mid September to pick up the BRZ. Drive it every day 70 miles round trip to the train station and enjoy every minute. Just wish it had an armrest and a place to put my sunglasses.

Hey all! I ordered my BRZ in early January and was expecting to have to wait until at least May to get it. Lucky me, it came in earlier this week! I test drove it today, loved it, filled out the paperwork, and am picking it up on Monday! Sadly, I couldn't drive it home today until I get my insurance sorted out on Monday.

Hi everyone!

Been following the BRZ/FRS for a while now. Test drove both BRZ and FRS, and liked the BRZ more. Not sure if im going to purchase the BRZ, but it still is very viable option for when I am looking to buy my new car in the near future!

Hey everyone!

I've been lurking the forums for a while just learning about the car. I currently own a 2012 mustang gt but i've been considering trading it in on a BRZ. It seems crazy to give up 200 hp but my previous cars have been an 06 WRX and a 96 240 with a built ka-t. Anyways i'd love to hear your thoughts if any of ya'll have come from high hp cars.
