Ouch!! Dealer will have the numbers for you anyway - still heard nothing today and 'tracking' still says 'In storage' yet also showing to Dealer todays date .. GRRRRRR!!!

Lucky you, now the sleepless nights begin. Im still waiting for mine, the dealer assures me it should be ready by friday.

Do you know the ship it came on? Mine was the 'Grand Mark' one day behind the 'Grand Duke' but mine sat at the docks etc for 12 days! Haha, tracking updated after 3pm today to 'in transit', I'd rung the Dealer 2.30pm and he said they expected it, I rang him back and he was outside taking the photo for me!

No i dont know what ship it came on, ive only checked my online tracking once a month since i ordered. As of today the tracking shows in transprot company storage yard.

Mine updated to 'In transit' about the time the truck pulled up at the Dealership! That's maybe 90 minutes from where the truck would have started from in Brisbane

I’m picking mine up on Thursday after work! Wooohooo!!
Manual GTS in Velocity Orange. Fortunately I managed to secure someone’s after they’d ordered it and their finance fell through and have only had to wait a few weeks! Super lucky I know. Will be my first new car after driving a 94 Honda Accord for the last 5 years And having to see my family’s HSV, FPV, WRX and XR6 on the driveway next to mine haha.

First stop for me is some tail lights and some new wheels, love the look of the Work wheels I’ve seen around on the forums.

Well done Fridge!! I've heard that story quite a few times now about finance falling thru, seems a few have ordered without doing their 'homework'! Other reasons have been 'marriage breakdown' and the most common 'person sourced from another Dealer'

On Friday 14 December 2012 TMCA informed me that ALL 86's built from that week would be complianced January 2013 - not so!! Whilst my car came off the line 26/12 the compliance is 12/12 even though it was not unloaded from the ship until 29/30 January, normally compliance plates are attached when they are landed in Australia but not so the 86

This does make a difference with Insurance as I have just found out, whilst not much, actually a 'P in the Ocean', from $471 to $500 neat which inlcudes ANY glass with no excess [additonal $65] regardless of whether cracked or just chipped

Oh well, had it arrived mid December it would have been 2012 anyway but just thought for you people expecting cars in the next few days, just check before organising Insurance

PS: My Dealer was also of the opinion given what Toyota had said that the car would be plated 2013

omg just rang the dealer as to why my tracking was not working and they said they got a extra 86 thats coming in early April that fits my specs so that must of cancelled out my current order so the stock controller is going to call me tomorrow if i want it or not, when i signed the contract the salesman said i should have it by April but they called me one week later and said its going to be a mid may delivery so happy. It was just like he said lol

Just wondering if I take the offer the dealer says it will be a early April delivery would there be any difference if I wait for my may deliver in terms of toyota fixing up known issues and that.

As far as I am aware any 'known issues' have been rectified

I know some people have been able to track which ship their car is shipping on. Any hints on how to do that?

:edit: Just read I need to get the ship name from the dealer.

Ring Toyota 1800-252-097, give them your Batch number [password for tracking] and ask the name of the ship

Then google 'marine traffic' and then enter the ships name - it could be 'out of range' so don't worry if it says that

Any problems report back here after standing in the corner for 2 hours!!

Yeah!! less than 24 hours and i pick mine up!!
