I was in the suspension forums and someone asked about top hat spacers. Not knowing what they are I resorted to Google. The first hit was from a Miata forum and thinking they would probably know something about suspensions I clicked on it. This hideous reminder of why carbon fiber should ALWAYS be painted was in the first few posts. Why do people think this is pretty? If you want to show off the 'exotic' material I could see leaving part of it unpainted, in some way that goes with the car. Something like unpainted skunk strips if the car has a cf hood, roof, and trunk. But why would someone do this, especially considering that's almost certainly a vinyl warp.
