I also used a professional technician as suggested so I just got screwed. I'm not trying to attack your product I'm just concerned for my vehicle. Like I said before I just want to fix it so would you suggest gasket material?
Well Jacob, your situation is a little different. Not trying to get defensive, but you did contact me stating that the wrong bolts were used and the directions weren't followed when your mid pipe was installed.

I'm hoping to get back to the office on Monday so I can take a look at the videos with our fabricators. Again, we've done so many of these and have never had an issue - I run it on my personal car, and one of our local dealers alone installed four of these last week with no issues. As many people will vouch, the last thing we would do is sell you something that doesn't work or is a faulty product. If we're at fault, we'll be the first ones to either issue out a refund or send you another product that works.

I'm not saying that we're not at fault, we just need to get one of these pipes back into our hands to see what's going on. Obviously we want you guys to be happy; you spent hard earned money on something for your car and you didn't get what you wanted. Trust me, we totally treat our customers the same way we'd want to be treated if we were in your shoes.

I will be in touch with you guys first thing tomorrow or Tuesday and let's figure out what we can do to figure out what's going on. By the look of the video, it seems like it should be sealing properly, but those donut gaskets could get crushed and it may take some heat for it to seal over time.

So hang tight guys, we'll figure out a solution so that you guys are happy.

I definitely understand that my situation is probably different bc of the potential damage to the gasket from the technician not following the instructions and I should have added that disclaimer in the first place so I apologize for not being forthcoming. I appreciate you getting involved bc I initially didn't realize how dainty these gaskets are and now I'm just going to give it some time and see if it'll seal up. I have never smelled fumes in the cabin and have just seen a drop dangling from the connection so I'm not too worried as of now plus it's occurring after the HFC and not before which would be much more alarming. I will continue to watch the connection and hopefully all will work out on its own. I again didn't mean to point any fingers as to what was causing the issue and I have been extremely impressed with Motiv's customer service.

Thanks for understanding - but we still wanna get to the bottom of whatever is going on, if there is in fact something faulty with the product. So just hang tight and I'll be in touch with you guys during the week to figure out how we can troubleshoot together. Sound good?!

Thanks!!

Jacob and jpit.

Not sure were you two stand on you're own issues with this HFC or test pipe, but as of now I put my stock front pipe back on and the doughnut leak sealed up perfectly this time.

I was able to torque the spring loaded bolts to 15lbs then leak tested the connection while the pipe was warm, the leak is gone.

As of now I also have the Motiv overpipe which has small leaks (header connection and cat connection) while warm. So I ordered two new factory gaskets from Suburu for 20 bucks and I will know monday if I can seal all the leaks.

Just giving you guys a heads up
