"Colin" taillights...anyone have any experience with them?
Seem to be a "decent" price, considering they're JDM...I think one of the best looking aftermarket lights out there
http://www.japanparts.com/db/parts_d...=&SEARCH_page= Just wondering what kind of modification (if any) these take to work...or if anyone has ordered a set in the states and can give an idea of the quality/fit

Damn...I knew that thread existed, too...now I feel dumb :\ I was thinking that was more of a "this is what's on the market", and I was looking for more personal experience with that single brand...looking through that thread, though, I see that some people did post with those lights. My mistake!

I can't speak for experience with the brand as a whole, but I do own the smoked versions for my Asphalt. I had to do a wire swap in the harness to get them to light up correctly. There is a thread around here somewhere that details what to do.
Other than that, I have had no issues with the lights. Police don't seem to care that they are smoked as the lights are easily visible. I haven't noticed any condensation, but I took a preemptive approach and used custom gaskets on them to be safe.

I really like the red Colins. I also had to do the wire swap but it wasn't a huge deal. And I also used custom gaskets to hopefully prevent any condensation issues. They are definitely worth it for the price IMO.

I have the smoked Colins with custom gaskets as well. I've had them on for a while now and love the look. The one thing that concerns me about them is they're quite dim during the day, especially if it's sunny. My gf was following me and said she could barely see them, which could obviously be a safety issue.
If you want some custom gaskets for them, shoot me a PM, I've sent out a bunch of sets for other forum members.

Is there a video on these tails? I'm curious how they look live.
