I guess I should add this...
![]() http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=...type=2&theater The "Artist's Drive" road. I had no idea it got way better about a minute later, but this was entertaining. Add it to the WV hillclimb. And while I'm in CA, I plan on finding some fun roads after the Evo Schools this weekend. In fact I'm looking at the window @ Hwy 9 out of Saratoga right now (from Shelly's house). Much corner carving will be done.I forgot about this pic from Sky City NM. Just after the Reynolds Road Service Co. left.

Summary so far:
Continental makes a hell of a tire. New Mexico has holes in the road that can eat a motorcycle (and seriously would have killed a guy on one if he hit what I hit). The KW's and C-com mounts (and I'm not the world's biggest Whiteline fan especially these days, but I use what works) took a hellacious shot. Lesser hits have broken fancier shocks. The Perrin non-resonated exhaust doesn't drone at all. It is amusing to hear the tone change as you go up and down 10,000 feet. All in all, I have two complaints about the car. It's just too lively in any kind of wind. This is not an alignment thing, it was like this stock too it's just a small car and gets batted around a lot. The tires and alignment improved it (I run a pretty fair amount of rear toe in). The seats need a lumbar adjustment but are great in every other way. I'm not sore at all. Remember a big reason I brought this car was to show that I not only use the stuff, but really use it. Currently the car is just about to click over 15k miles. Most of those are not stock suspension wise. |

So, just checking in. Taught an Evolution Challenge school and helped at a T&T last weekend in Marina. Been sightseeing. Got new wheels for the ones that got destroyed in New Mexico
![]() ![]() Been hammering around. Keep seeing a white FR-S on Highway 9 between Saratoga and Shelly's house. He waves, I wave. Wonder if it's anyone here???? Anyway, here's what I did yesterday (part of the day): http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=...ype=2&theater# & http://external.ak.fbcdn.net/safe_im...4_b.jpg&jq=100 |

Good to hear about the Conti's, bought the exact same tires for my street tires quite awhile ago but my car has been in a build stage for months and haven't had a chance to really get an impression of them yet.

Look where I ended up today:
![]() This is the very place the movie ended. Coming up on 6k miles for the trip. About 16k total on the car. Running fine. Averaging 31.8 mpg overall, including the hooning and the 80mph stretched of interstate.. |
