It's a prototype...it could be one of the prototypes running 5x100...others could be running 5x114...just saying...

But if y'all are looking at it being this car is always gonna have light and small wheels...then 5x100 makes sense. I am just saying just because you see one wheel on one car does not mean the production will have 5x100.

That would be quite the surprise if it did turn out to be 5x114

Nice...I'm guessing you might be leaning towards blue colored car?

What is the best price you have found, as I like the 17" black ones.

Thanks

Hello brand new TE37 SLs
For the 1,845,390th time, TE37SL come in 5X100 lol. I posted the link twice on previous pages. Most popular rims come in 5X100

read somewhere that they were only 5x114.

Well Cant wait to play the offset game with the SLs lol.

Just looked it up. Only 18x9 come in 5x100. Forget that shit

edit again. Custom order if you want anything outside of 18x9. Sigh!

I think I want to run at least 18" wheels so it looks good and I would get great road feedback.

This car is only slightly bigger than the miata in every dimension. Why would you want to run anything bigger than 18's? I think that's a good enough size, maybe some 19's on some specific rims.

Ugh. Bigger wheels don't give you "great road feedback." They numb steering, make bumps and road imperfections harsher, reduce acceleration, and increase braking distance...mostly because they weigh more but also because they require a smaller aspect ratio sidewall tire which means a firmer effective spring rate (and don't get me started on the ill-effects of stretching tires ). Take for instance these highly coveted TE37SLs that everyone is leg-humping: A 17x8 TE37SL weighs less than a 18x8 TE37SL and will therefore translate to better performance all around.

For handling/performance reasons you go with the smallest wheel you can fit over your brakes. If you want large wheels because you like the way it looks, then fine, just say that, don't buy in to or perpetuate the myth that big wheels will provide better performance.

True fact is true. I think most of the ones saying this, are just going for the looks, rather than performance.
