No. You won't even get out of the parking lot. Wait a few days. I know it's hard. You will have less than ZERO traction on a day like today.

Yea it's about maybe 500 meters away from my house. I'll wait until later in the afternoon, if it's still this bad then i'll hold off until another day.

The problem is, i have an appointment with Kevin and Marco to do my Opti-coat and clear bra tomorrow morning that's why i'm so eager to get the car home tonight, but now i'm wondering how will the condition on the road be like tomorrow morning...

i was supposed to pick up the car yesterday but because of this snow i held off till today. i fucking hate this snow i FUCKING HATE THIS SNOW! why would this happen ON the day that i pick up my sexy car! fuck this snow!

+1

You could end up needing alot more than Opticoat if you aren't careful. At least wait until the roads are plowed. And, good luck staying below 4000 RPMs with TC off and the wheels spinning in the snow. Not that the breakin period isn't unnecessary anyway for the most part.

I drove today (KW), probably just as bad here as in TO. 12 minute drive turned into a 45 minute shovel+drive, despite there being nearly no traffic around town.

I drove today (London). Drove over snow in my driveway no problem but the really thick rutted crap on an unplowed road was tough to get through. Almost couldn't make it uphill in the stuff before I got to a main road.

As for picking up the car in this crap? I definitely wouldn't. But part of that for me is the way I like to break in my cars. In the first few thousand kms I make sure it gets warmed up and loaded to redline at least a couple times every single time I start it. There were no short trips in the first 2000 kms I owned the car. And every trip had the engine loading across the rev range. Real hard to load the engine hard when you don't have any traction.

Took it to work, worst idea ever. Got stuck about four different times. Now I'm just going to leave it in the parking lot and get my friend to pick me up in his GC since he works around the corner lol.

I drove! My GMC Suburban that is

There is no fucking way I would have been able to get to work today in my FRS, some of those snow drifts were pretty deep.

Plus the 401 was just totally fucked

Are you getting snow tires put on immediately? If not, DO NOT go to Kevin in the morning. You will end up stuck or crashed.

Glad I decided to put winter tires on mine, but don't need to drive today. However, I'm soo tempted to try it in real snow, but I'm scared of other drivers.
I have to stop listening to the voice in head that's saying, "BRZ wants to play in the snow!".

Seriously, ignoring the whole lightweight RWD thing (which obv has a big impact)

this car is just so low to the ground, the snow is super deep in some spots, you'd basically be plowing through it. Fuck that

^^ I agree. Today is a day that I was afraid of when I picked up mine last week.

I drove to work today in Niagara. Had to take it real slow. Buddy and I went out for lunch. He couldn't believe how easy the back end likes to get active. FIrst time he's been in a RWD in a real amount of snow.

Glad I don't have my BRZ yet.. Almost got stuck twice in my yaris (also lowered)

2 hr commute each way from Oshawa to Pearson I think I got off easy. Glad I can go in early and leave early to miss the traffic. Only reason it took 2hrs each way was because I was stuck behind the plows on the 407 for a good piece both ways.
