Cause scion knew this was screwed up, so by putting a fix in the manual, it is somehow not a design issue, but rather a stupid owner issue.

I wonder how stupid you would have to be to fall for this line of reasoning?

Has nothing to do with "stupid owner"...I'm just saying, the fix is right there in the manual. It's a system that has a potential to lock up...they foresaw that and developed a quick fix that anyone could do. Thank god they did, and that it doesn't require a trip to the dealer to fix every time! I agree that the system itself is a little silly, but at least they engineered it to go into a safe mode instead of burning up the motor and gave it a quick reset when it did.
