Got mine in today. They fit perfectly and are surprisingly rigid! It was my childhood dream to get me a set of these which was inspired by all the car magazines I read.

Post is useless without pictures right? Here we go!

Click for 16MP high resolution pictures.

Box Huge.

Drivers side. Set. I laid the cut rubber mats over the stock mats as a placeholder for the Weathertechs.

Driver side fitment. The mat doesn't cover the entire deadpedal. I did not vacuum my car prior to installation

These things are rigid and don't flop around.

The rear mats would be used every time my 5 and 7 year old gets in and out of the car.

RAM-B-316-1U Gooseneck
RAM-HOL-UN7BU holder

I bent the gooseneck so its snug against the center console/transmission tunnel. It is very stable while driving. I can read maps/text on the phone while I'm driving it.

Although the holder rotates into landscape mode, it doesn't do it by vibration/accident.

Overall I'm very happy with this. I can change the holder out for one that supports a tablet if I'd like.

From looking at the Weathertech ads in car magazines, I think they do use an aluminum mold. The material they show being milled to shape definitely has the look of machined aluminum and not steel.

Just food for thought. Everything in your post is spot on. It looks to me as if the Husky mats are die formed out of sheet material as opposed to injection molded, likely a cheaper process.

Lol... After that lil "photoshoot," none of use need to worry about how it looks or fitment at all. Pretty damn thorough.

My set is suppose to come in today.

:happy0180:Ordered these and a pair of Rally Armor mudflaps from the GroupBuy last night. This is my DD so the combo should definitely help protect the car from the gnarly salt here in Pittsburgh.

Probably 'low Pressure' molding.

As some of you may know I also own a Jeep. I've used products from Husky over the years as well as Weather Tech. I can say, hands down, there's really no fair comparison between Husky and Weather Tech. True the products do the same thing but Weather Techs wear like IRON. I've had a pair in my JK since 2008 and they look almost new. No heel wear, no leaking, nothing. They're great in areas where snow, ice, rain, and salt are a yearly occurance. In a Jeep they're doubly good for keeping the stain prone Missouri clay off my carpet.

In contrast the Huskys lasted a couple years at best before the plastic began to break down. They were flimsy and "rolled" on the edges easily. My trunk liner in my XJ began to shread at the tailgate about 2 years after I bought it.

In the end, the Weather Techs are worth every penny and I'll be getting myself a pair as well.

i am almost positive that these mats are a combo of thermoforming and injection molding. the edges of the mats don't have the sharp edge and parting line that a IM part would exhibit. It has rough edges like would be typical for a thermoformed sheet. Combine that with a injection molded rigidizer and voila.
