I found a torrent for Starcraft II; spent 2 days downloading, 4 days trying to get it running, and the next day I play it for maybe an hour before bed. So yesterday, I rode my bike down to Wallyworld and bought it for $40.

It's good, I like it. There is a strong similarity to the original but they(Blizzard) revamped and added a bunch of stuff. I stopped gaming for awhile just when it came out. So with Heart of the Swarm coming out next month, naturally it was about time to try it.

I'm working on the campaign, made it to Zeratul's memories so far. I struggle on Hard to finish all the tasks and especially the achievements but Normal is pretty easy. Which means it might be good for newbies to introduce themselves to Real Time Strategy like the original was for me.

I think I'll do what I did before I did before I got into Star Craft when I was younger.
I'll just wait it out a bit longer or a friend of mine will pass the game over to me. And surprisingly a lot of people still played that game after I was like 3 or 4 years late for the first installment.

Too complex if you don't have hours to devote to them, which I don't. I play them with the SonHawks, but always live up to my "death after death"Hawk gamer tag.
As a follow-up to this, just received this t-shirt from my family to wear during these battles:

If anyone has not tried it Planetside 2 is freaking awesome. Devs are really in with the community and people can vote or suggest new patch ideas and implementations.

I almost always wait until the price drops. So I rarely spend more than $20-$30 for a game. Why rush? But there's always the exception.

That's all? Jeez, you should see my Steam backlog. And that doesn't count the couple of 360 games that I haven't touched too.

I tried it on and off. I'll have to pick it up again. For some reason the entire time I was playing it I just kept wishing it was Battlefield 3. I will say that I've been in the FireFall weekend betas a few times and am really looking forward to release. Enough that I'm thinking about becoming a founder to permanently get into the beta.

The new Devil May Cry reboot, imo, is outstanding. A little easier than what I'm used to with the DMC series, but even more attitude and style.

Lastly, we need a thread title edit or a new 2013 thread.

edit because I thought I needed one more smiley

I'm with you there. I play almost exclusively PC games (really only play consoles during epic family battles) and Steam gets me every time with their Sales.

So many games, so many other responsibilities....

I haven't bought a new game in a while, normally too cheap/busy to worry about spending the money for it, but I did buy the new DMC a couple of weeks ago. Sucks being so busy with work and going to the gym that I basically have no time to play it during the week. It is pretty good. I don't remember too much from the older ones, been a while and don't think I played the last one. (What were they on at that point, four?)
