WestCoastProjects' Carbon Fiber Lip

Hey guys,

WestCoastProjects is back at it again with a new front lip for the FRS! This lip is made via vacuum bag infusion, mounts via 3M VHB double sided tape and made right here in Southern California.

Here are some pics of our new lip fit on Matt Andrews' FRS

I'll be posting up a group buy for this lip soon!

The lip holds only with the tape? Would it fall off if you accidentally scraped a speed bump or anything?

I like the design though, nice and subtle. I wish I had a white FR-S for this.

Here's a little info about the 3M VHB tape we use taken from 3M's website:

3M™ VHB™ Tapes are high-strength bonding tapes and a proven alternative to screws, rivets, welds and other mechanical fasteners.
Unlike screws or rivets – which join materials at a single point – high-strength bonding tape permanently adheres one substrate to another while spreading the stress load across the entire length of the joint. Once materials are joined with 3M™ VHB™ Tape a virtually indestructible “weld” is created.

If you scrape a speed bump, it should not just come off unless you were going much faster than you should have been.
