I've had some pretty varied tanks, my best was 34.6MPG. (After I installed my coilovers, been driving sloooooow.)

And my worst was 26.4MPG, I'm pretty sure I did a lot of pulls on the highway, haha.
I got around 24.5 on the tank I did highway pulls. The gas station where I filled up had a CONTAINS 10% ETHANOL warning, whereas other gas stations that I've filled up the car don't have it advertised and I got better mileage. That might just be my right foot on that one tank though...

Ethanol-free fuel definitely gets better fuel economy. Definitely.

The catch is that the other stations where I fill up aren't advertised as "ETHANOL FREE" I just can't find the "CONTAINS 10% ETHANOL" sticker. Ethanol has a lower energy density than gasoline, so getting less MPG makes sense, but without testing my ethanol content I'm really just speculating about the EtOH content of these various stations.

This thread is even funnier because there's a thread just a few down about a guy saying he's getting 40 MPGs, LOL!!!!!

It's almost as if that pedal you press to go faster is called the gas pedal

trying to be constructive to this thread:
VW R32:16-20MPG (3.2 VR6)
BMW 135i: 18-22MPG (3.0 I-6 twin-turbo)
FR-S: 22-28MPG (2.0 Boxer-4)
I'm as they say a spirited driver, sometimes more than other so consumption obviously varies.

In summation, you want to get better gas millage get a Prius.
1.8 I-4 hybrid 50MPG

The engine does have two fuel delivery systems, port and direct. My guess is that it can deliver more gas under load than unitary systems.

So let me get this straight:

Your other car is an S2000, and you complain about fuel consumption with this car?

Do tell...

Edmunds long term test BRZ was getting 12-13mpg at the track.

People yelling "troll" aren't seeing what he's talking about apparently...Edmunds sees it.

I read thAT ethanol @ 10% blended and with ~ 30% less energy contained, so the result is ~3% lower mileage.
