Random Thought.

Why do i have to speak past tense to describe something in the present in this sample sentence: "I wish i knew who she is." When i think about it, logic dictates that i say, "I wish i know who she is." I have to destroy the sentence and reconstruct an alternate phrasing if i want to proceed here. Is this a paradoxical misnomer or am i just not thinking it through?

"I want to know who she is" or "I wish I knew who she was". The second makes less sense because she still IS, but aren't you speaking about a moment in the past?

Simple, because you do not know her.

You use past tense on things that were not true in the present tense.

English grammar 101?

You'd have to do what you did first-- reconstruct the sentence. You're saying it about a girl in the present.

Hm, perhaps i've missed out on the more simple stuff. I'm a writer and very educated in syntax and grammar, but i always seem to have gaps in rudimentary concepts.

You know, that gives me an inspiration: so in stead of fighting war with knifes and guns, what would happen if we fight with thanks? Hmmmmmm.....

I will leave that to you.

Dropped 31 points over the last 3 months but bounced back a whole 33 points all at once this month.
That's good-yet I don't understand?
Just make sure you do your best to pay as much as you can on time!

-I once had something go to collections(not my fault-mail was kept at old house) and now I'm going to try to write to whoever(lol I obviously have research to do) but I'm hoping they take it off and it helps my score.

This could be kind of fun-- what is everyone's credit score? I'm curious what people have.

The last time i checked (last year), mine was 780. I've not made any mistakes since then, so it may be even higher now.

714 here for my credit score. Not bad for an unemployed 21 year old beginning to establish credit I think.

But then again, what do I know?
