Decided to roll the dice and not put winter rubber on this year. So far so good, most days the roads aren't an issue, on snow days it varies from just having to be really careful to taking the wife's Forester (or having her run me to work). In general, the roads aren't the issue because of the salting and regular cleaning, it's the parking lots that are bad. Really, really (REALLY), enjoying the first nice sunny day we've had in a LONG time today. After having to putter around for what seems like forever of late, I'd forgotten what it was like to wind her up and throw her into a corner. I like all the snow we've had this year, but I'm looking forward to all clear roads in the spring.

Wow! I'm not sure were you live but I live in the snow belt and I could never get away with that. Glad your wife is able to take you back and forth to work on the real bad days. I should talk my wife into doing that for me seeing how she just got a brand new Jeep Jet. Keep it safe,,, so we can meet up in the spring.

Daily driving the FR-S on Pirelli Ice Storm tires. Traction is low to moderate. Drove in up to 6" of snow. Haven't gotten stuck nor do I intend to.

I have other much more capable winter vehicles ('08 FJ, '10 Tundra) but the FR-S is doing just fine. Had an extra 50-100# of weight ballast in the spare tire location on the real bad days.

It is almost as much fun as the Celica GT-FOUR. :-)

Anyone driving a white FR-S westbound on 422 last Sunday afternoon around 3:30 at 91 in Solon? Wife and I passed you going the other way in her gray Forester XT. Great choice on color...

Anyone getting cabin fever yet? I have had the MR-S down to SE Ohio for a little ridge running once so far this year. That was last Sunday when it was 70. I am hoping this winter weather goes away soon. I need to do some more local dry runs before I head down to Tail of the Dragon on April 12-14th. See you guys at the C&C soon I hope.

Yes I'm ready for spring. Next year I won't be storing my car so far away. It has made it impossible to get it on on the few nice days we have had.

Waiting on:

Hopefully should be getting the first two soon, and the third one before the meet.

I've come to the conclusion the chances of me doing a track day in the near future are slim to none. So if any Cleveland locals are looking for some track day parts or just a nice set of wheels this is what's I have for sale. Everything is located in Chardon.
http://shanahan.smugmug.com/Cars/Tra...8703634_SdfCpF
Motegi SP10 17x7 offset +40MM with hub centering rings, 215/45/17 Michelin Pilot Super Sport mounted. Tires 2 are 9/10 the other 2 are 9.5/10. With shipping mounting etc I'm into them for about $1,400. Make a reasonable offer via private message and maybe we can work something out.

I also have a set of front and rear metallic pads, low miles, look like dirty old pads so not super photogenic but about $300 worth of pads I'll sell for $75 obo. Take a look in person see what you think.

The big ticket item Jun BL GT system new in boxes. The systems are a little more than most the other ones available but it is amazing quality when you see them in person. I don't really want to sell this but I also think it will probably sit in a box for a year or 2 before I do anything with it. These go for around $2,000 with taxes and shipping. Like the wheels send me a reasonable offer via private message.

May not be the best place for this, posting it in mid-thread. Might as well make a FS thread and reach a wider audience.
