I was actually flipping through the warranty manual the other night for my frs. If you read the wording carefully it basically says that the warranty cannot be voided as long as the aftermarket replacement part has the same form and function as what it is replacing and is a certified part.....meaning C.A.R.B. legal.

Exhaust can only void the exhaust waranty.. I had a Clutch problem with it grinding and i had exhaust, dealership said there wasnt any problems they drove it 30miles and drove it all diferant ways.. i drove it off the lot and it feels amazing.. 2 weeks later it grinds.. but not as much as it used to now its like once or twice the whole day i drive.. just go to differant dealerships.. some are good some are weird.

Unfortunately I currently live in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. Sucks cuz its also the only dealership they have down here and it is 1hr away! The name is Bert Ogden Subaru of Edinburg. They really pissed me off that day cuz on top of trying to void my warranty, they dropped me off at the mall and said they'd pick me up in bout an hour. Well they wrote my number down wrong and the driver who dropped me off also went home for the day. So a new driver came on who didn't kno what was up and I was left there for 4 hours!! Horrible experience! These guys are real idiots over there! They were also the main reason why I wasn't able to buy my car locally! They had a SWP Ltd 6sp just the way I wanted it back in June but when I called to go in I asked bout info on the Sti model they might be coming out and the idiot salesman told me yeah we can order one and it'll be here in 2-3 months! So I scheduled an appointment and when I went in the guy said he made a mistake and blah blah blah.. So I asked to bout the other SWP BRZ and he said they just sold it!! Nonetheless I was so upset cuz and I ended up buying mine from New York in August!! Don't think I'm gonna mess wit these people no more!

I think Subaru and Scion/Toyota have different warranty guidelines. SOA seems to be more strict bout voiding the warranty. I think...

Read into this law that was put in place to protect you.

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson%E2%80%93Moss_Warranty_Act"]Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

If it is a cat-back exhaust then there is nothing they can say or do about voiding your warranty.

Hell, my dealer complimented my Nameless exhaust and said all the techs loved how it sounded. They even complimented the welds on the thing.

I feel lucky that my dealer seems to be really cool with the mods thing. They are even selling and installing non TRD parts like the ISIS exhaust.

They all loved my rims and suspension and kept asking if I was doing performance next.

Love my dealer.
