Heck, find a nice looking dead pedal add some more rubberized material behind it and rivet it to the mat. You could even fashion a clip to snap into the holes on the original dead pedal.

Cutting that part out pretty much destroys it's effectiveness. Especially if you have a little lake going and you hit the brakes.
Standard all weather mats don't cover that area. You'd get a lot more seepage behind the mat if you regularly rest your foot on the dead pedal.

What's even more fun is trying to get the mat out without spilling it all over anyway..LOL
Exactly this. I was also going to see how feasible it would be to add a flap beside the gas pedal so that no drips get down on that side either.

Careful there. That could be a dangerous endeavor.

This is what I remember about weathertech, they work great, but look terrible when dirty, and I could never get the regular mats to look good again. Digital fits may clean off better.

Wipe them off with a wet rag or spray with a hose and they look like new. They are a pretty firm rubber.. almost plastic like.

After they get really dirty (mud or something) they don't really come clean like they did from the factory with just a wash. The easiest way I've found to get mine back to black / shiny is to put some tire foam on them after a good scrub.

It'll keep them looking great, I promise.

You got me.

$117 seems a bit steep. If you must drive in the winter. They are only $99 if you get them from weathertech directly.

The only way the price is justified is that the owners of the company are pretty good people, give back to the local community and kept their operations in the USA/IL. So just keep that in mind if your are on the fence.

I was going to tape them over with electrical tape, but I'll take a look at doing this when they get here. Thanks chap!

The Weathertech stickers I had on my last car just fell off with use because every time I stepped into the car I stepped on the Weathertech logo.

If you guys want to replace the Weathertech logos head over here for custom dome labels. I used this for work to do custom emblems would work the same way. Probably cost you like $10.
