The car that made me want to get a driving license :happy0180:

Good luck on Obtaining your License then.. that will change a lot afterwards. now i just cant wait to go home and just drive..

I have just ordered the BRZ for mi-March delivery. It is Pearl White Manual.I can't wait! I am waiting to see the list of accessories (dealer is waiting for brochures) but if anyone has a copy and put it on the forum, it would give me an idea of what to get prior to delivery.I want to change the exhaust tips, get a trunk mat to cover the spare wheel and possibly the fuel cap if that's available in Dubai.
The reason I went to Subaru rather than Toyota is the manual is better specked and also cheaper by 3,000dhs. Interestingly Subaru told me they sell 60% manual vs 40% automatics. I wonder if Toyota Dubai under specked the manual thinking customers would go for auto.Mistake in my view! Sporty=Manual.

Placed my order also a few weeks ago and the dealer told me 45 waiting days. I opt for the auto (Mid-Trim) with the paddle shifters.

I haven't visited Subaru, should so I could see their offerings.

sh4d0w- Subaru only have 2 models, one auto and one manual. The auto looked like the top one that Toyota offers with only minor differences. The manual at Subaru was way better than at Toyota.

Were you able to get a list of accessories from Toyota by any chance ?
Still waiting to hear from Subaru in Dubai.I was told, brochures and list of accessories were out of stock for now.Not too pleased as I want to order a few things so the car comes to me fitted with the right accessories (especially the dodgy exhaust pipes!)

How was the customers service there ?

I got two of my friends complaining about the lack of customer care when they tried to order from Subaru of Dubai.

sh4d0w- I got excellent service from Jennifer Catoto. She finally received a copy of the brochure + accessories and I did my ordering this morning. The accessories take 45 days (that's almost the time I have to wait for the car anyway).I had to go to Toyota to order the exhaust pipes tips LOL (Subaru don't do them!) and Subaru will fit them for me.
Again the only reason we went to Subaru was the Manual specs are way better than at Toyota. When I visited Toyota SZR last Saturday they had 9 auto in stock. Subaru only has one model in auto.It is the top model at 117,000dhs with alcantara seats. I prefer these to the all leather ones at Toyota. The downside is you would have to wait for an auto at Subaru.

HTH.

Nice. Which brochure and what accessories did you order though? I am also interested in the exhaust tips too as that does not come stock in UAE version. Wow 117K is a good price for a top end model. BTW I called the Imran yesterday for inquiry and viewing but he messaged me this morning that the car is already sold.

Anyway my agent here in Abu Dhabi told me that the car already arrived in Jebel Ali and he's now processing my documents. Might have it by early next week and a that rate I'll have the car earlier than I'll get my driving license and that means I can only look at it

The Subaru brochure also lists accessories but not all are available LOL. I got the exhaust tips from Toyota Parts but Subaru will fit them. From Subaru, I am getting the chrome fuel lid garnish, the trunk mat and the rear end diffuser to give the car a nicer look.

WOw I like the rear diffuser wonder if it would fit the 86 as for the trunk liner it should look good but there is a large spare tire sticking out the boot so I wont be able to use it.
