Yeah, with the racerom mapswitching update you can have e85 as one of your switchable maps.

Do we have it where the ecu remembers what map you were on last yet, or do the latest tunes still require you to map switch at every startup?

AFAIK pump gas and E85 tunes will remain separate. The flex fuel kit addresses that.
As for the ability to remember the last map, I think that may be something you'll have to live with for the foreseeable future.

Maps are still separate and Flex Fuel stuff is still in the works.

It's hard to work on some of this stuff when I dont have a car.

For the past month I've been working on my Flex Fuel kit for the GTR.

The kit is now complete

Hey John. I have had a couple of CEL codes over the last few weeks.

Just today i got P0219A while idling.
P219A: Bank 1 Air-Fuel Ratio Imbalance
As per Fr-S repair manual.


Around Christmas time while it was -20C out i got P119F, after a couple days it went away.
Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Intermittent

Any idea's? I just flashed your newest ROM so they are obviously cleared now.

I'm in Texas and garage my vehicle so the ambient temp has been about 60-65º F when I start-up.

I've found that I have to press the gas pedal a few times immediately after starting or the engine will come to a stumbling stop. It's not a big deal. I let the car warm-up a bit and then turn it off and on again -- just to make sure the cams kick on properly.

It's a hassle but it's worth the hassle.

Yikes, I'll be starting with ambients as low as 20F. Any chance you can check your coolant temp (via ecutek or torque) before you start the car next time?

Ambient is 74F and coolant was 26C.

Thanks. I'm trying to decide how lucky i feel. My coolant temp for cold start is generally around 7c. I'll probably try my luck and reflash my e85 rom as soon as this tank dries up. A new station opened up only 20 miles or so from me. Before that I would have to drive 70 miles (one way).

@Visconti - With the flex fuel kit, could one expect to see better cold start results by diluting their E85 fillups with a gallon or two of 93?

You guys should install a block heater. That would probably help your problems with cold start a lot.

Cost would make up for it by being able to run e85 all year.
