Wow, that sucks but hopefully you're alright and her insurance takes care of you!

Really too bad so many people drive without paying attention to what's going on around them.

i sorta can see it... light turns green, the woman didn't pay attention and immediately turns left without the green TURN light... the OP, possibly also didn't pay attention and gun it... this is only an assumption because his pass side hits her rear ... looks like it was a strong impact.. glad you are doing okay and nobody got hurt... what was she driving?

I'm still scratching my head trying to figure it out too.

Got it:

He's approaching a light that either turns green as he got closer or was already green...he journeys onward.

Lady on other side of road decides to make an unprotected left directly in front of him. OP slams on brakes rather than swerving while lady continues her path and OP drives right through her right rear ass.

The sinking of the front end from the braking is what caused all that nasty damage to OP's front right panel from the other vehicles bumper as OP drove into the bumper as it passed by. So, like Kennedy's head, it went back and to the right(the damage direction).

If I'm right, the OP had two choices:

1) ditch his car into another car, curb, or wall
2) plow into her and hope she(other driver) doesn't hit the brakes and maybe makes it past...she didn't

IMO..from the way he explained it in the first post..and the picture..he would have had to be coming toward the camera (as the picture sits)..if she turned left..or turned right into his lane out in front of him..and his first reaction was to swerve left..that could cause a passenger side impact..and leave the car how it is sitting in the picture.

That was really the only way I could put it together. No matter how it happened, I just hope everyone is okay and that he is able to get his car repaired/replaced without too much trouble.

It looks to me that an oncoming car made a left turn in front of the op. His right front made contact with her right side rear.

Thats what i gathered from his explanation.

He is going straight thru a solid green. She was oncoming making a left in front of him.

He jerks it left to try to avoid her.

Main thing is OP is going to be OK other than the airbag shock, sudden collision shock, etc.;

I agree, I wasnt mad at all the moment it happened. I hoped out of my car and limped over to her, 30 ft away, to make sure she was okay. Then it was more I was mad, because I loved this car, but it will all work out..
Cars are never more important than human health/life .
Tis true, Just hard to see something you worked so hard for, for the past 4 years get destroyed.

Ok here is a more detailed description.

Some lady was in the turn lane facing westbound to turn northbound (basically the lane my car ended up). I was headed eastbound (the way my car is facing). The light was plain green (had been that way since before I got there), no arrows, and she decided it would be a good idea to try and turn as soon as I am going through the intersection. I tried to stop & swerve, but I was in the left hand lane anyways so there was no where I could go & she had waited to late to try and go.. I honestly don't know what she was thinking.
