How to mod Auto headlights shut off time?

Search the manual (page 440 then refering to p 199) and seems only the dealer can customize the Auto headlights shut off time to be 0 seconds insted of default 30 sec... (annoys me when they stay on specialy in cold winter time dragging power from battery).

Scared the feature can fail and leave them on full time after I leave the car...

Can anyone confirm that only dealer can mod this?

It can be but all I have to do is hit lock twice on the reomote and the lights turn off immediately.

^ Correct, hitting lock multiple times turns my lights off.

I like looking back as I walk away and seeing her all lit up. So sexy lol

Double tap the lock button on the key fob and they turn off. It's a Lexus system after all.

Indeed but like it very much that key stays in my pocket (keyless entry/start button) so want to mod this absolutely. Will ask dealer at my 1st oil change...

Yes, mod the time is the permanent fix. You can turn off the lights manually before getting out of the car until then. I usually park in my garage, so I get used to turning them off manually to prevent them from turning on for a minute when I power up to leave in the AM.

I just flip between off and auto after shutting off the car... I do this so cars coming into the garage I park in won't think the car is about to pull out.

I started doing this a month ago. Works exactly as you'd expect it to.

I would like to change the start up time of the auto headlights...any way to do that?? The issue is I keep the BRZ in my garage and when on auto they turn on everytime I start the car, and then go off as soon as I exit the garage during the day. Not good for the HIDs.
