I'd pull the code then reset the ECU to see if it comes back tomorrow. Did that with a CEL I was getting in my WRX. Ended up having to clean the IACV, again. >:[

Dear ****head Diesel owners,

I am writing this to you, If you want to drive a diesel vehicle then please learn to get your vehicle serviced and clean your fucken injectors, I do not want your black smoke and suite going all over my damn 86 when I keep my car clean and you want to be a prick and blow crap all over it.

You might think that you are being so smart in buying a diesel vehicle and I pay less for fuel I'm so smart but guess what ****head you did not realise that you have also brought a vehicle that cost more to buy the diesel inequivalent and your services are going to be 2-3 times as much now did you

So do not wait to get the service done as you can push it like a petrol vehicle and get it done more regularly as you were the ****head that brought the diesel in the first place

So from all car owners that are sick of your crap going on our cars do something about it tosser

Kind regards

A motorist that's car does not sound like a John Deer

Rant over

If I "needed" car when I was first in the market, I probably would've went with an MKIV GTI, but I decided to drive around with an out of inspection car for ~5 months while waiting for my BRZ.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that.

Okay. After some research I think it may be the purge valve that needs to be replaced. I'm still going to take it to get an opinion though. It seems to be a common problem on the 06 model. Most of the CELs I saw were for evap leaks. I'm only worried because most of the guys over there were saying their cars hadn't been running the same after that issue being fixed and they idled really rough. My car has had a rough idle for like half a year now and people have even asked me if I have a diesel?! wtf? Hopefully it won't run like crap after this fix.

Oh and thanks for all the help boys!

Needed to go to the gym so left my house, it was snowing lightly, but not bad. On the fairly short drive to the gym the snow picked up more and more until by the time I got to the gym the roads were covered by a thin layer of snow. Not wanting to get stranded there or wreck my car on the way home since I knew I'd be there at least an hour and a half, I turned around and came home. It snowed even harder then. Could barely see in front of my car.

I'll look for that old dream catcher I made as a child so that type of nightmare never returns.
