The corner of the STI from lip is folding up and covers the bumper,

I have a feeling they are talking about the CF bumper beam thingy. I don't know what it's called. iirc the license plate frame won't fit USDM cars

I would assume it's a seibon piece but unsure as of now. Kansai does sell Carbon Front Grilles for a couple cars but the BRZ isn't listed yet.
