The correction to your paint before opti-guard is what takes the swirls out! Optiguard is essentially a clear coat for your clear coat and a longer lasting sealant than a traditional paste wax. You don't have to do very much to maintain it at all but i believe you have to polish it off if you no longer want it on your paint.

Hey Trip, I'm scheduled for a tint next week with Jay. The suntek seems to be a good product. I can post before and after pics.

Let me know which one you are going to go with. I been reading up on the internet on the Suntek Carbon XP and there were issues with it a few years back. I think they fixed it. I will ask Jay about it when I pick up my whip this afternoon.

I was going to go with the middle option of the three. I don't remember what it was called. I'll ask Jay about that as well. Thanks for the heads up.

I rode around in Jay's personal truck that he has tinted with the high end tint-XP I guess. It was about 80 degrees mid day and there was zero heat coming through the glass. Pretty impressive. He did have the front window tinted as well with a clearer tint that apparently costs a lot more than the darker tint on the rest of the windows but keeps the heat rays out just the same. |
