I don't get the love for the 2Jz, its old, heavy and antiquated and likely messes up the balance of the car. Sure it can make power and torque, but so can a cat diesel engine, but I'm not putting that in the car either.

Given we have topped 600whp with the current engine already, why invest all this money in an old expensive engine?

This is 2013, not 1996. Let the 2jz die.

I get what you are saying but the reason why the 2JZ is one of the most coveted motors in the world is because it was built during toyota's over engineering phase. Its a known bulletproof performer at higher power levels than that all day.

A 600whp 2jz is years more reliable then a 600whp FA motor.

I think its safe to say anyone with 600whp on whatever motor it is, isn't concerned about anything other than going fast in a straight line.

I wont be swapping a 2jz over to my car either, but its very cool to see that it can be done and looks practically OEM.
