But again, that is just my personal opinion and I'm probably in the minority.
My opinion is that behavior in these forums not only reflect the individual, it also reflect the overall community. If a newcomer comes in and sees these types of ad hominem attacks on another member; and sees that not only are these types of behavior tolerated but also condoned, what would that say about this young community?

Knowledge about this car is still in its infancy, there is still yet lots to learn. Why not share with the community? It'll only help foster a more knowledgable consumer base, which in turn generates better customers, and everybody wins.

If the owner(s) of this site feels these types of non-constructive, personal attacks are acceptable, that is his/her/their prerogative. But I wouldn't hang around here anymore and would definitely steer friends away from this community. I wouldn't treat anyone I meet this way, why would I be a schmuck online?

John, you have tuned a lot of FRS/BRZs. Your knowledge is valuable, and we know it (as do you). I have no clue who you are, as I'm sure you don't know who I am. But browsing through this thread, I didn't see that you have anything constructive to say while keeping up with the personal attacks. I'm not sure where all the hostility comes from, but it's obvious from my end there is some enmity between you and Bob. For his part, Bob posted what I feel to be useful information regarding the slight anomaly in the stock tune at high RPMs. I'm relatively familiar with Subarus and it appears stock tuning for the FRS/BRZ isn't that different, strategy-wise, from turbo Imprezas. While you kept up with the personal attacks and not giving back to the community.

That's really all I want to say. I do hope moderators and owner(s) take a look at what sort of community they want to foster and take a stand about how they'd want it to be.

Both respected opinions and welcomed. I agree with some of your points. I still keep my personal opinion and agree a LOT of other people will have a completely different view than mine. :happy0180:

I personally don't hold grudges with any of the vendors here including both tuners. (Well, except Vivid but that is SO off topic).

to re-iterate, the tune that is on the chart from Drift Office is his base AT tune, the Visconti tune is the AirRaid based one.

I started this thread as a informative thread on how tunes stack against each other, during dyno runs I was the one behind the wheel pushing on the gas pedal.

I haven't decided who I will be using to get my tune from.. But I have decided who I will NOT be using.. I'm sure they don't care.. They won't go out of business with out my support, but they won't get my few dollars either, and that's what makes me feel good.. It should be fun and nothing wrong with a little banter.. But one vendor went way over the top.. I'd call him out, but it seems if anyone says anything bad about said vendor they gets the ban hammer..

Steve Jobs acted like a complete **** to people, and yet they still lined up to buy his crap. AIRAID treated me like crap openly on the forum. People still bought a ton of intakes from them. Customers don't really care how manufacturers or vendors act.

Most people don't know Steve Jobs was a raging asshole. They just see the fancy aluminum MacBooks and shiny piano black iPhones.

They also don't know he cheated on his wife on multiple occasions and dropped acid on a regular basis. People should read his biography...dude was f***ed up.

No offense, but you are wrong. I am in tech sales (enterprise, mid-market and smb customers). If I were to act out like a FOOL amongst my customers, they would no longer hand me their business. I've seen sales people lose customers, first hand, based on their behavior (or lack thereof).

That is all I have to say.

Customer may be white collar though, no? I'll buy my shit from Willy and JessiLynn, but I'd just as equally buy it from some snappy BMW looking douchebag if he treats me right.
