@Dimman do you have any photos of some of the things you've made so far?

I was thinking about rendering some characters but it all seems too intimidating.

Lightening up the mood

Because its been all clouds, rain, and snow lately.

Here's something worth maybe brightening up the day.

Quote:
Two guys were taking Chemistry at the University of Mississippi. They did pretty well on all of the quizzes and the midterms and labs, such that going into the final they had a solid "A". These two friends were so confident going into the final that the weekend before finals week (even though the Chemistry final was on Monday), they decided to go up to the University of Tennessee and party with some friends.

They had a great time, however, with hangovers and everything, they overslept all day Sunday and didn't make it back to Mississippi until early Monday morning. Rather than taking the final then, they found their professor after the final to explain to him why they missed the final.

They told him that they went up to the University of Tennessee for the weekend, and had planned to come back in time to study, but that they had a flat tire on the way back, and didn't have a spare, and couldn't get help for a long time, so they were late in getting back to campus. The professor thought this over and told them they could make up the final on the following day. The two guys were elated and relieved. They studied that night and went in the next day for the final.

The professor placed them in separate rooms, and handed each of them a test booklet and told them to begin. They looked at the first problem, which was worth 5 points. It was something simple about Molarity & Solutions.

"Cool ," they thought. "This is going to be easy." They did that problem and then turned the page.

They were not prepared, however, for what they saw on this page. It said: (95 Points). Which tire?
And in other unrelated news...

This is where I bought my laptop, digital camera, and my TV, oh, and my external HD.

Yea, newegg rocks. It also helps that most of their stuff ships from their NJ location, so it's here in 2-3 days with regular shipping.

I haven't done 3d work since the Pentium MMX era. (You may have started kindergarten around the same time I stopped 3d modelling). Most of the stuff was sci-fi mechanical stuff like spaceships and mechs. Was never good at organic stuff, plus didn't really have the computer horsepower back then to handle high polygon counts anyways...

The CFD stuff that I'm talking about is Computational Fluid Dynamics. Simulating a fluid (air, water, oil, fuel spray, etc...) flowing around or through a 3d object. Cars through air, oil through shock valves, etc... No demon babies...

Also FEA, which is Finite Element Analysis. It applies virtual forces through objects that have material properties assigned to them. Used to analyse stress, stiffness, strength, etc...

I hated my strength of materials course. That's the one course I found I really had to work at.

Ah okay...Really no demon babies? that stinks
But in all seriousness though, that sounds very challenging-Good luck!
All that technical stuff gets lost on me *shrugs* no surprise there

I had something really odd happen to me yesterday.

I went after class to go get math help from a professor after he helped me, he asked if i would like to make some extra income. I thought he would of asked for some sort of small job or something but he offered me one of those business proposal scams.

Something like where i sell a product and not only do i get money from that but when i convince people to join me i get 4% interest from them without taking away from them and that in 4 years i'd make $150K a year. In order to get started i have to pay a fee of like $160 then i go these meetings and i'm sure after that they keep charging you.

Should i do something about it? I don't really feel comfortable with a professor offering me something that kinda looks like a scam.

I told a few other students and they were quite shock, its very odd....
I very much do like him as a professor and hes a lot better then most...just wtf man?

Have not played with that I get the shits sometimes approving engineering designs for work have done 132 this week already modeling is done in 2D.

Use Multiframe (engineering software) for steel buildings everything from steel kit homes, sheds, barns and industrial applications mostly using cold form steel.

Have to run analysts on the frame testing stress levels, deflection etc.. for single load cases (wind loads measured in m/s (meters per second) , earthquake (Z factor) , Snow-load (kPI), Topographic factors, Terrain categories, importance levels (return period of the structre) Lee Zone factors and Shielding factor and then get to do combined load cases which will consist of at least 5 different load cases.

I had the lady that processed my loan about 10 years ago when I brought my first car ask if she could come around and speak with me.

Thought it was about the car but she turned up with a friend and started pitching a pyramid scheme to me WTF

I got a loan at a bank not for her to come around and try to sell me this crap after told her to piss off so the bitch did not put through the insurance on my loan which caused all sorts of drama down the track

As this guy is you professor just politely decline so he doesn't crack the shits like this bitch did
