Comparison of stopping distance would be nice. I know it's not that simple because of cost.
It would be nice if the manufacturer could provide info on this.

You got an estimate on how much everything expands? Makes me wonder if any studies have been done on that... hmmmmm

No idea here either. I think the number I've heard before is that you want 2-3mm clearance at least.

Slight difference if you keep them at the edge of lockup (ie not into ABS). If you just floor the pedal there will be no real difference unless they are fixing a bias problem (or making a bias problem). OEM brakes lock up the tires, so will these and the tires stop the car.

BBK's have other benefits which is why people buy them. I buy because the OEM components can't handle extended track abuse IMO.

that's a comparison of the Endurance kit when you clearly specified you were comparing the Wilwood to the Spring kit. Since I'm assuming you're just grabbing the OEM weights out of there, I won't insinuate anything.

whoops! my bad. I didn't even check to see what kit they were weighing.

I know there are weights on the forum for both somewhere, just need to dig deeper.

Thanks for pointing that out.

We're going to be VERY close then, but I think still fine. I'll round up a calliper tomorrow to be sure.

How about the important things like caliper stiffness and brake torque (bias change).

Also how do the hats attach on each rotor?

I have to say I was debating between these two and the AP endurance kit and in the end I went with Wilwood. I'm not gonna lie, the real determining factor was cost. The AP kits are amazing but I wasn't about to put the sprint kit on my car simply because I wanted at least slightly larger rotors so my only option was the AP endurance or the wilwoods. The endurance kits are $500 more than the sprint kit and $900 more than the Wilwood, so this is where I was comparing them hard...I had to find $900 worth of improvement to make my mind. I don't run this car solely on tracks, but with the turbo kit in place I needed to be able to bleed speed more effectively than the stock setup. Wilwood brakes are actually pretty damn good, and I am willing to bet that among the members of this forum few if any will actually push these brakes on this car. The AP's are awesome and if I didn't have about 100 other things on my list to buy in the next few months i would have probably gone with the endurance kit without a thought.

I plan on running my car in local AutoX events and maybe even some SCCA events if I can work up the nerve to subject the car to that. For the most part though i drive my car daily and I just felt that in this particular instance the Wilwoods fit exactly what I need at a price that doesn't seem outrageous *cough* Endless *cough*
