ANd yes, the FB was designed for fuel economy, but they modified it significantly for higher output. There is ZERO chance this motor will exceed the FB20's fuel economy. And none of the reviews/interviews so far have indicated this car with have such high MPG figures. |

I think I will choose hight spec model
I'm waiting for the real price I also wait to see the car in real life and testing on dealership I hope we'll have a choice of wheel designs I also hope there will be some steering wheel controls, minimal behave and the quality of the sound system (nothing, only usb, cd, etc...) also I would try the gearbox withe shift paddle to get an idea

All car wiki
I compiled the spec data on the FT-86 into all car wiki to make it easy to read:
http://www.allcarwiki.com/wiki/Toyot...Specifications If you guys know any more info or the info is wrong please change it, cheers. |

![]() So I got bored and I accidentally made this. Comparison to the various cars in the segment that the FT-86 will probably be aimed at, the specs are very similar to the Clio RS. If it drives anything like a Clio but in RWD format, I'll buy it straight away. |

Just read the newest translation of the spec sheet. Premium fuel? Crap. I hope that's optional and only required for maximum performance.

You don't want the engine to knock and switch timing, which will worsen your fuel economy. Theoretically you could run lower octane fuel, as long as you never exceed a certain throttle position, since that would lower the maximum temperature that the air/fuel mix sees. In fact if a car has variable intake duration instead of a throttle plate to control air mass flow, then the temperature of the air/fuel mix goes down very fast as you reduce the "throttle position", so low octane fuel is definitely not going to do anything.

You will be able to run less. The ECU will retard timing. You will lose performance AND fuel economy so it's completely pointless to do so though.

Re; the "accidental" list, I think the automatic hi spec 86 should be capable of a sub 7 sec 0-60 sprint on a bad day.
