I'm surprised this thread has gone on for this long without a mod closing it. There is nothing of value in this thread anymore it's just a bitch fest. You guys seriously need to chill the f*** out cause right now it's making me glad I never bought ANY of your tunes and I'm sure others feel the same way.

I'm not really worried about selling my tunes since that's not my core business, but are you not guys learning something academic and technical from this?

I'm not butt hurt, calling others names, etc etc - but I am detailing and sharing information to alleviate misconception and generally, the wrong call (intentionally or otherwise) from a biased personality. Is no one seeing that?

In any case, the OP has already posted and mentioned a "Mexican Stand Off" so I'm sure there will be more...Stay Tuned!

Regards!

Well, I'm glad my decision to get a local tune from DD Performance Research was made easier after reading this thread... Thought we were adults here?

Local in-house tuning will ALWAYS be better than any e-tune. I'm a big advocate of that.

But hey, am I supposed to take libel and slander and let you all be misinformed to think that it was knock?

Should I have stooped to Visconti's level? I think not. I was just addressing points that were directed to me by these people on the forum and answering them with fact and irrefutable proof. I don't see why that's an issue here with some, if that's the issue at all.

If anything, it makes for good reading and would serve as a blemish in someone's otherwise 'perfect' record.

Regards!

This is kind of a no-win thread. Sucks that rocks were thrown by vendors which is pretty unprofessional but the title of this thread is incendiary to begin with. It should be pretty obvious that a custom tune will always beat a canned tune. This thread shows that Drift Office can do nice custom tunes. I'm sure Visconti can do nice custom tunes too. Same with fa20club. The end.

I don't get why does the discussion of this thread bothers anyone. Let people (including vendors) express whatever they feel. Vendors are humans like all of us and they have feelings and can commit errors. They are not perfect robots....

Let it be, it has not changed my opinion one way or the other on any of them. I don't buy a product based on how a vendor treats competition, I buy it based on quality of product and customer service.

While I think your opinion is valid and the romantic notion that everyone is human is a nice touch, I think your opinion might be a little naive. Vendors shouldn't act like customers. They should be professional. When they aren't, they lose business. I run a business. I can't act out exactly how I feel to my potential customers because I'd lose business that way. You have to be pretty naive to think otherwise. Of course, some vendors just don't care. These people will never make it (big or at all) in the long run because the fact that they act out means they let things get to them personally when they should keep their personal feelings out of business. A great product will only get you so far, your reputation and connections within your industry are what will make you a long term success.

How a vendor carries themselves might not effect your decision to buy their product. It definitely effects mine.

I definitely agree that a lot of people don't share my view, and I respect yours fully. I personally just like to put everything in perspective and don't think much of the words written in an internet forum. I personally value my personal experience with a person much more than what I read here. Of course, quality of product comes #1 and customer service reviews #2.

But again, that is just my personal opinion and I'm probably in the minority.

Urm. All the tunes used were CANNED. Visconti was the one who implied that it wasn't, hence the confusion, hence the need for clarification.

The problem with this, is that people like me will NEVER give Visconti a chance...because of his outbursts, immaturity, name calling, etc... When he, or any other vendor are this unprofessional, we tend to spend our money elsewhere.

While vendors like Visconti may provide a great product, he is only hurting his future sales with his "I don't care" attitude. Unfortunately, first impressions are huge.

Nope, I thought of posting it up but I didn't want to since it wouldn't be a fair apples to apples comparison, with me having the upper hand...

It's all good though!

Cheers!
