Can't wait to hear it on the Q300. Just installed my catback yesterday and I am digging it so far. A bit quiet, but I think the catless headers will change that slightly.

Headers without the cats... Not interested, that would be way too loud with my unresonated perrin catback. Will they ever make headers with the cats?

This is why you get a resonator. Not to mention, why would you want to restrict the main part of the exhaust where the biggest gains occur?

Resonator is a better choice than a cat.

Front pipe catted is what I plan on going with and it will still be really loud with a resonator and overpipe/downpipe/frontpipe and a catless header.

I would really like to hear a free flowing louder catback like the invidia N1 + catless resonated frontpipe + overpipe + header. I know it wont be presented in this thread due to finite time/resources, but very curious on sound.

Like <2 HP difference. Both saw gains across the torque curve over stock as expected. But the 2hp was to the uel down low and 2+/- up top was the el. So maybe a tune would accentuate characteristics? My experience with air cooled vw says it doesnt matter. But there's about 80 years of engineering difference there haha
on thing i'm curious about is to see how all the other headers compare. borla's design looks nothing like the nameless or JDL designs so i wonder if the other headers will net more gains vs the borla EL and UEL. thats really what i'm waiting for.

The JDL UEL Headers will sure be probably better quality but hey you get what you pay for. The borla is cheap at 650$. All the other brands are going to be 900+$. Watch out.

You pay for what you wanna play. To each their own.

For the price of the JDL headers I'm gonna have a Borla + an aFe Takeda intake kit.

For most of us, we will not even see that much of a difference between running a Borla or a JDL headers daily.

Beleive me I'm gonna be fine with my little Borla. Dont worry be happy!

These will be my first mod, then exhaust. I think she should sound and feel good first. I get more pleasure from that then from track times.

The JDL header will also last a lot longer... Borla's header does not fall under their warranty. You get what you pay for. I'm going to wait and see Nameless/JDL's header, mainly looking at JDL's UEL header.

Of course sound purpose is very important for a lot of car enthusiast.

A lot of engine sounds are music to our ears.

Supra - RX-7 - Ferrari -Lambo and boxer are my favorites.

People bought old car like ferrari Dino GTS just for their unique sound.

So does a 650$ expense on a borla UEL headers is well worth the monney ?

Hell yeah of course ! The car will be twice as fun to drive.

What do you means by last longer ?

How many years or how many miles do you think/expect a Borla will survive VS a JDL's header ?

Maybe 2-3 years before you start seeing it peel and rust.
