Finally in the market for a BRZ

So I was driving to work on friday night, about 3 miles from my house a nice friendly deer wanted to say hi to me. I was doing about 50mph and swerved to avoid the deer but I didnt see the little doe behind it. Hit the doe it went under my car and cause me to hit a tree. Heres the aftermath.

Finally drove a brz today (auto) and im waiting for my dealer to start taking orders on the 2014 models

Ouch, that sucks man. Oh well, you'll be a lot happier once behind the wheel of a BRZ!

Poor doe. Glad you're okay, things could have gone a lot worse if it went over your hood and possibly through your windshield.

and you think they won't pass those fixes down to 2013 owners under warranty? (HPFP, etc?)

Plenty of '13s around in the colder climates, I'd say negotiate yourself a good deal and if '14 is better '15 will rock so you can upgrade in 18 months if that's important to you.

I picked up my BRZ from Subaru of Jacksonville FL, they had 9 in stock! I took a WRB Limited fully loaded. They still have 6 instock for all who are seriously looking to by one.

Probably because most people don't want to drive a tiny RWD sports coupe in the winter. I won't purchase this car until I own a home with a garage to put it in during the winter.

I doubt we'll see any changes for 2014 except the fixes the '13s get under warranty. They've spent enough time fixing the issues that I doubt they focused on changes to a car that gets glowing reviews as is.

Agreed. I'm secretly hoping that the changes will be similar to the S2000 model years (ie, small subtle changes). That way we don't feel screwed for our purchase. No power bump please (similar to GSR to Type-R). :happy0180:
