I've had a couple of issues with mine. First my rear passenger side shock dangling there because the threading for the bottom mount inside the shock had somehow become stripped (within 1 year of ownership, so BC was kind enough to replace it). And for the past couple years I've had an issue with my spring spinning when turning at low speeds, or the nut on the top hat (below the adjustment knob) will come loose and as I go over bumps you can hear the shock clanking up and down. Generally if I tighten the nut, the springs spin and when the spring stop spinning its usually because the nut has come loose.

BC's solution to my spring spinning problem was a $200-$300 needle thrust bearing to sit on top of the springs. It surprised me that they had a fix so readily available for an issue that they said was rare. Their coilovers may have improved since I bought mine, or they may have done better R&D on the FR-S/BRZ, but I personally have no intention of ever buying any BC Racing products again.

i think bc has the lowest option available as far as coilovers. i believe the springs are shorter on the extreme drops

Yes actually, I ran over a piece of gum and my spleen cried.

Bahah, nah it's not that bad. My friend who has cut springs on her Honda says it's the craziest ride she's felt but I love it!

Car rides great, and at highway speeds there's no noise. But at low speed there's some pretty terrible noises which are frightening me. I think I may know what the problem is, but I'm going to ask for some of your opinions as well.

First, here's the video showing off the noises (You can really hear it at :30 seconds.)

Secondly, I realize we were supposed to install them both at a 90* angle, like the instructions said, but I guess we got tired on the last one and did it wrong. Or we're just retarded. Fixing it tomorrow after school either way.

Instructions:

Right Side:

Left Side (Correctly Installed):

But all in all, I decided to go for a conservative drop, just until I get my camber arms and new wheels, then I'm droppin' her all the way. Here's how it's sitting now, I'll get more pictures tomorrow.

Down from a 4 finger wheelgap to about a 1 finger gap.

I'll keep you guys updated with how tomorrow goes.

I didn't have any noises in the rear for awhile, until I maxxed them out, and after a few thousand miles the rear knocks very gently.

Why'd you do that? I couldn't even get the bottom portion to go up far enough to reach the lock rings, it would hit the bottom of the shock.
