knob... not noob...

I really hope it's not like the Genesis with a necessary size of 19" or larger. If that's the case I probably won't get the car.

If it comes with 18s I'll have to think about it.

17s and I'm sold.

All comes down to the caliper clearance I would imagine.

There are folks with S2ks that have BBK's on 17s. Would think this car would be able to do the same.

An important factor in affordability is cost of Tyres. Anything above 17" stock will get expensive for you average buyer. They will probably take that into consideration.

The stripped down track model will probably come with 17's for this very reason: cheaper tires and the ability to still get the BBK to fit.

how large of rotors do you guys think we're gonna need? hahaha

it's a lightweight, 200hp car.

Bigger rotors are just for show, or for those of you who seriously track the car and need the more rapid heat dissipation. Otherwise, for stopping distances, all you need are better pads, fluid, and stainless steel lines.

I was only referring to the "lightweight 200hp" comment. Mainly the 200hp comment, meaning it won't be a 200hp car for those of us who are going to boost it. My BBK will be just for show as much of everything else will as I've already stated this car will be a garage queen.

If you are going to boost, upgrade the brakes too. Why do I have to pay extra for the rotors an aftermarket boost junkie wants?

Or have your car go into limp mode after a few laps because your $40,000 NISMO track version doesn't come with an oil cooler.

It's already 30-40k you think upping the price another $1000 for the oil cooler is going to make me decide not to buy the car, really nissan really. Just admit it was an engineering oversight and start installing them for free on future models and cover them under warranty.

http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...issues-79.html

The 370Z has an engine protection system that reduces peak engine speeds when the oil temperature exceeds recommended levels in order to protect against possible engine damage. Aggressive driving of the 370Z on a race track at sustained high engine speeds can cause increases in oil temperature and may activate this engine protection system. To avoid activation of this engine protection system and these reduced peak engine speeds, Nissan recommends an oil cooler be fitted to the 370Z before driving it on a race track. A Nissan Motorsports accessory oil cooler kit is available for customer purchase through authorized Nissan dealerships for race track use. The part number is 21300-SS370.

An oil cooler is not necessary for normal operation of the vehicle on public roads. The addition of an oil cooler would have raised the price of the car and potentially moved it out of the reach of some customers. Value has been a core principle of the Z car since the original 240Z and we choose to uphold this core principle by not adding additional costs that are unnecessary for normal use. For those individuals who choose to drive their vehicle on a race track, the oil cooler is available as an aftersales item.

The oil cooler is a Nissan Motorsports item and as such is sold without warranty, express or implied, unless expressly prohibited by law in which case the warranty provided is the minimum required by law. The installation of the Nissan Motorsports oil cooler does not, by itself, “void” the vehicle warranty. However any damage caused by the installation or use of this part is expressly excluded under the terms of the Nissan New Vehicle Limited warranty. "

Hopefully the FT-86 track model isn't just a "track" model in name only.

finally!!! someone on the internet who agrees completely with what i say allllll the time! if i plan to track the car heavily, i'll just buy some Porterfield R4 pads, Castrol SRF, and call it a day.
