Wow. I hope you get this sorted out. Looks like the dealership royally screwed up.

Hot damn (pun semi-intended) I am glad you got out safe without any injuries. Yeah, you should lawyer up and get the most out of that. That shit is not safe.

I have grown to love the crickets, and I shall keep it there!

Love all the lawyer up comments ... That's what's wrong with this country.. Get your loan paid off.. Get you a new car, anything less then by all means grab a lawyer.. But to come out with compensation and everything.. I mean I can understand asking for a rental and making sure your not put out on a hardship.. Maybe make sure you get the next car with all the boxes checked and its the top of the line..

Yup, I agree with your sentiment about the lawyers. There probably isn't going to be a punitive settlement here unless Bob Barker has a track record of installing self immolating fuel pumps for profit. I hope the OP gets taken care of, I'm sure he will, most of the time car companies want to sweep crap like this under the rug.

I bought my first new Subaru from Bob Barker...02' wrx on my birthday back in 01. Was such a happy day. I'm sure SoA is monitoring this thread and will act quickly. (Right SoA?!)

Now I am concerned. What led up to why you needed a new fuel pump?

And what is that about "not getting it in gear correctly"?

Did you buy the car new from the dealership you mentioned?

When he gave you the invoice, did you say "The price is wrong, bitch"?
