Anime Discussion Thread

Can somebody tell me the name of the anime that is about future Tokyo sort of falling into a civil war? I have these vague memories of a cop on a crowded bridge, and later of some helicopter gunships shooting up some parked mecha in a hanger, mini-guns shred off the mecha's armour and it leaves the metal skeleton before destroying it too.

That's all I can really remember.

Need to be more detail than that. That's really vague... from the description, I gonna name several series

Patlabor rings a bell. It's for sure not Ghost in the Shell.

BTW I watch Bleach off and on, the new stuff is starting to really annoy me. I read the Manga and the new material is just crap... I have watched a few good anime though, like Fruitsbasket, Chobits, I even watched Naruto for awhile and Shippuuden(:facepalm: ). I also watched Darker than Black, Full Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood(better than the original), Deathnote. I tried watching Claymore, but it was blegh.

I started watching Shinraku! Ika Musume after I saw it come up in the GT vs Forza thread where someone mentioned Anime Livery. If I start ending posts with gesu you'll know why... I have been saying ika! for years as a statement of angst. I had no clue it meant squid.

I watch too much. I keep up with most current airing series that hold my interest. My favorite would probably be Puella Magi Madoka Magica. If it weren't for anime and figure collecting, I'd have so much done to my car.

I'm pretty much caught up on all the anime series (end 80's to now).

Recently I got hooked on 2 mangas: Countach & Kanojo no Carrera My favorite Carrera... but other than that, it's all watching for me
