You can replace both of those without pulling the intake manifold on a WRX...

Yes, I chose those examples as they are pretty common labor performed by any moderately capable driveway mechanic. I feel the intake manifold removal on this car is no more complicated then either of the tasks mentioned.

I think we are saying much of the same thing here. We agree that one should know what they are doing if they are modifying anything that has to do with the proper function of their vehicle. Whether it is a cold air intake, exhaust component, spring install, etc. All of these things could effect reliability and possibly safety in some way if not handled correctly. I will state one again, this is the easiest forced induction kit to install on this vehicle that exists thus far. In the time required to perform the installation, in how little the car needs to be disassembled, and that no fluids need to be drained from the vehicle, no charge pipes need to be routed, all factory emissions components can remain in place and fully functional, and you do not even need a floor jack or jack stands. The "easy" that this kit possesses should also translate in to lower shop labor costs, comparatively speaking, if one feels that the installation is beyond their capabilities. .

Installing the supercharger will increase the drag of the engine and lowering the torque at lower rpm, will you include also lightweight pulleys to compensation the drag from the charger?

While there are greater parasitics then an NA engine, it is also feeding air any time the engine is not in vacuum. You won't even notice due to the power delivery. Lighter pulleys would only be perceived in transient response, and they would not be much of a gain. These kits have "right now" response in spades being PD chargers. However, these kits use all of the factory pulleys with an added idler and blower drive pulley, feel free to upgrade your accessory pulleys if you wish. We do not advise changing the crank pulley though. If roll on response is most desired, you would gain more with a lighter flywheel. But keeping the mass is better for drive ablity.

Everyone I know with a lightweight flywheel, myself included, has never had a problem with driveability. My Honda has a 8lb, and we all know how little torque Hondas have...

I dare say that it's one of the best things I've ever done to the car. I wouldn't mind having an ultra lightweight flywheel on the BRZ either.

I also prefer a lighter flywheel, it is fantastic upgrade on track or for more performance oriented driver. I ran them in my AE86 and my Integra. I could see how some users who may have issues with heal/tow down shifts or spend all of their time on the street in traffic may not want one. But me personally, I am totally with you.

What if we have already changed the crank pulley? I don't have a problem putting the old one back on but wondering why exactly.

You likely will be fine with a lightened aftermarket crank pulley on this engine as it is not externally balanced. This is just not a component we recommend replacing as we have not tested it ourselves on this application. Nothing more then preference and being cautious, I would not worry about it. Maybe if you were really leaning on it, making big power with sustained high RPM use, an ATi or similar damper may be a worth while upgrade.

Check for belt stretch, (you will have checked it previously) and replace the supercharger oil. Not a whole lot to it.
