Alright, I'm not sure what is going on with Lemans, but I just got a call saying that they may have double booked us on Feb 6th and they are waiting for clarification from the other group (paying more $ than us I'm assuming). I'll try to keep you guys posted, but I have a feeling the date may change again, lol

Get compensation for their error. I honestly stopped going there because the staff is/was going way down hill.

We could always try GoKartRacer if it doesn't work out with LeMans.

Booking a group there is even harder! They are a machine over there! If we wanna go there we can pretty much just show up.

I'm down for either location... or even that new K1 place in Santa Clara somewhere... they use electric karts.

Gas only... what fun is it if little explosions aren't propelling you?

I've had a few buddies who were very disappointed with the electric karts, I guess there's somebody who controls the amount of power on the karts and cranks it down if you're too aggressive or just being a d*ck. I dunno, I've never tried them and am actually kinda curious.

I like the no smell in door, clean. It is not slow at all once get up to speed i.e. Slower accreation. The throttle response is bad and nothing like gas, but I am like most people, floor it 98% of the time so does not really matter. Not that bad is what I am saying.

+1. Driven in Fairfield is electric and someone DOES control you (like a RC car), granted it's safer b/c they can slow all the cars if there is a hiccup in the race. My son (13 yrs old) and I are still earning our wings to go faster at Driven, they did once b/c he and I were the only ones on the track and definately faster and less bog than gas BUT we are short 5 more tracktime before we get bumped to next level. Tight track btw with a lot single lanes.

On the otherhand, Umigo in Livermore is gas, lots of open and passing lanes, cars are 'dialed' differently, and we've always had a great time here. Esp on some nigts (closer to closing time), they blast the music and turn on the party lights. One thing at Umigo, when you register your real or fake name, REMEMBER IT, because it sometimes just appears on the screen without really being notified. At Umigo, you have to be top of their staffing or else. At this point, when we register and they tell us a timeslip, I just fixate on the screen. That's my only gripe about Umigo otherwise, fun as hell. Gas!

Tried Umigo a couple weeks ago for the very first time and loved it. The karts are really nice and light but the track was SUPER slippery! I swear I was drifting it in every corner, even getting loose on the straights. I guess they reconfigure out their track everyfew weeks so there were several random grippy patches that jump out at ya, makes it pretty fun having to wrangle that wheel.
