Just to clarify: Yes aluminum is entirely weight savings. The system that we saw midrange gains of 4-6hp in was the full dual system, and we are going to try out a 3" midpipe into standard axleback to see if that picks up the same midrange gains or how it behaves...And those gains were WITH a 2.5" downpipe, btw.

We're going to try that, but a) not sure if it'll add any power over the 2.5" version and b) not sure how much of the downpipe/overpipe combo will actually be 3" depending on how much space we have to bring the pipe over the subframe.

Great, thanks Jason. I'll wait for a bit and see if it is even possible/adds more power over the current OP/DP.

Being patient is so hard when you guys have such good products, but I like to let you guys have time and test things out before rushing into it. I'm definitely sold on this system though. Have a good weekend.

I'm still hoping for a 3" downpipe, and a tapered 3"->2.5" midpipe for a 2.5" axleback. After i get funds for turbo, and ideally a bellmouth ~3" dump pipe to downpipe

We did initially test to see if we could put a single 4" OD x 3" ID muffler/resonator in a longer 3" section closer to the front and we were not satisfied with the overall fit of that design, so we switched to the one pictured. Perhaps the power gain and quieter note comes from stepping up to the 3" internal diameter? If that's the case it could work with a 2.5" midpipe to the 2.5" axleback with a decent length 4x3 muffler/resonator fitted in the middle.
Please! That's what i'm hoping you can come up with to suit our OEM fitting parts.

Their catted EL header may be CA legal, but knowing how strict emissions are there, probably not still even with two cats, lol.

Possibly not even; the federal emissions regulations require that any emissions equipment replacement happens for a documented reason AND is replaced with a similar unit. A high flow cat is not considered "similar" equipment I don't believe.

Original equipment has been ruining my gas mileage and my vehicle's drive-ability so I replaced it with this, it looks the same just no heat shields. lol
