Argh!!! Money... need money! Christmas bills be damned I need an ECUTek tune!

I'll be watching your progress.

-Cheers
It's killing me right now that I have a cable and license but no tune. I wish Perrin had a 93 oct N/A tune they could give me while I wait for the supercharger to get here. Or better yet an E85 tune to play with. Right now they said the S/C would ship early February, so it will be a while.

They do have a 93 tune, why can't they send it to you while you wait?

I didn't know they have one and I haven't asked. I'll do that.

Thanks for the heads up, they said no problem!

I gotta say, dealing with Perrin has been exceptionally easy. I have nearly everything I ordered from them, the only reason I am waiting on the S/C kit is because they are waiting on more kits from Vortech.

Resonated and catted on mine. The shop car at Phastek has uncatted and unresonated and they are supercharging that one too.

I got my new shifter in today:

It is thicker, a bit heavier, and provides better grip than the original shifter. Particularly the black ring on top, it's very sticky, I feel like I could change gears with my hand flat on top.

I flashed the Perrin 93 tune yesterday around lunch. The pedal felt weird and soft at first like resetting the ECU, but as I drove it around it started to pick up more power. It is pulling harder now than stock, but I think the gains from just the tune are pretty mild with no I/E or other changes. It feels smoother and the engine sounds more aggressive past 4k RPMs. The torque dip has been shortened, but not enough to change it's character.

It's fun to play with while I wait for my Vortech kit, but it makes waiting even harder.

Also I decided to name my car "Lazarus"

My g35 had a license plate that said "BB61RL" and so got named "baby girl" before I had any say about it. I figured I would get out ahead of that this time.

My car doesn't have the exhaust on yet, but the guys over at Phastek do all kinds of stuff with the houston86club. IDK what the schedule is for them though, or what events they have planned, you will have to ask chris@phastek.

Hearing the exhaust on the shop car is what sold me on Perrin's exhaust.
