If you're talking about just if you see the light coming out of the lens, it's the projector. My 2012 SE V6 Camry didn't have HIDs but the projectors were so good, they looked like HIDs.

Most Japanese cars receive a slight cosmetic change like a more aggressive lip or LED strip, tail light changes, plus a mild HP increase of probably 10%.
It may be a good idea to wait for the "Kouki" model in 2 years. But not 2014, I doubt the engine will be jumped to 250HP within the first gen which is at least 4 years. I am almost 100% the engine isn't going to be upgraded in 1 year. It doesn't make sense for subaru to change the engine production unless it is related to a design flaw / safety issue, in just 1 year! I am a little worried engine issues. I know it was developed 3 to 5 years, but the most reliable platform are those that used a previously proven engine across multiple line up. Plus, I always read about Subaru and their head gaskets going bad. Even toyota can and had messed up something before in a new engine that is only apparent after 50k miles. Not saying this will happen with the FA20, but there is always a little risk. |

To each their own. As soon as I figured out I could afford it I ran screaming to my local Scion dealership a couple of months ago to put mine on order. I can't even describe the way this car makes me feel when I'm behind the wheel. Window down, music rolling, I find myself involuntarily laughing (out loud) at how I feel driving this car. Maybe next years model will have more features, maybe it won't. Maybe this will be the best year manufactured. Who knows? All I know is I'm having the time of my life.

Only reason I would consider waiting till next year is for the 2014 FR-S, Im sure they will add a bunch of goodies & be a little easy on the prices for add ons to compete with the sales the Limited BRZ has been doing. Personally, I decided to go with the DGM BRZ Limited. Gonna be selling my '06 tC privately for the down payment for the new ride.

[quote=yjbeach;240243]Who knows maybe they will do what Honda did to the S2000? (Forums are filled with opinions and speculation) Hondas AP1's had a 2.0L engine and bumped it up to 2.2L engine for the AP2's that came out a few years later. (I believe it was between 2003 - 2004).
Holding out to 2014: Maybe Hyundai will come out with a new GC, Updated FR-s and BRZ or purchase a used s2000 and have a lot of cash left over. I hate the video with the S2000 drag racing the BRZ, if both cars were built to go around corners I want to see a real race. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9_hZqvY5RM"]Drag race : Subaru BRZ VS Honda S2000 (Motorsport) - YouTube[/ame][/q I like the video...the brz keeps up 1-3gears ahead in 1st (needs better driver lol) |

Well the price has already increased by $300 if you're buying an FRS in 2013 (shown on scion's website). So I can only imagine if the 2014 model gets more goodies, the price will only go up. What reason do they have to keep the price the same when the demand is so high?
