ECUtek cables

Does anyone know if this EcuTek cable would work? I'm thinking of buying it off a subaru owner. It doesn't "look" different from the pictures of the cables I've been seeing, but I can't really tell based on pics.

Anyone?

No expert here, just throwing an educated guess; there are different chips in the two cables. The black one was used years ago, the green one has more components/capabilities to be able to flash modern ECU's
